Frequently asked questions.
Clear answers about the app, recovery tools, privacy, memberships, mentors, and safety.
What is My Recovery Support?
My Recovery Support is a daily recovery workspace for the days after treatment. It brings check-ins, planning, practical tools, personal insight, and human connection into one place.
Who is My Recovery Support for?
It is for people who want ongoing structure and encouragement after treatment or during recovery. It can support many recovery paths and does not require participation in a particular program.
Is My Recovery Support affiliated with AA or NA?
No. My Recovery Support is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or any official recovery organization.
Is My Recovery Support a replacement for treatment?
No. It is a supportive tool that can complement professional care, aftercare, meetings, mentors, and other support. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical care.
Is the Recovery Coach emergency care?
No. The Recovery Coach is designed for encouragement, reflection, and choosing a next step. It is not emergency care or a substitute for a clinician, sponsor, mentor, or crisis service.
What can I use the Recovery Coach for?
You can use it to talk through a hard moment, reflect on a pattern, think through a craving, or organize a next step. It is intended to help you pause and choose—not make decisions for you.
What are Recovery Insights?
Recovery Insights help you notice patterns across your check-ins, journal entries, and urge logs. They are meant to support curiosity and informed choices, not grade your recovery.
What is Today’s Plan?
Today’s Plan helps you choose a realistic next step and keep track of routines, goals, recovery activities, and meetings without turning the day into an overwhelming checklist.
What are Recovery Blocks?
Recovery Blocks is a short, hands-on reset practice that gives focus and restless energy somewhere useful to go. It is optional and is not a treatment or a measure of progress.
What is Wave Rider?
Wave Rider is a guided urge-surfing practice designed to help you observe a craving as it rises and falls without needing to act on it.
Can I use the app without a membership?
Public recovery resources and safety information remain available. The full daily MRS workspace begins with a 7-day full-access trial and continues with a membership.
How does the 7-day trial work?
Choose a monthly or annual membership to begin 7 days of full access. You are not charged during the trial and can cancel through the App Store or Google Play before it ends.
When will the app be available?
My Recovery Support is coming soon for iOS and Android. Join the launch list to hear when it is ready.
How much will membership cost?
The planned membership is $9.99 per month or an annual membership, with a 7-day full-access trial. Final store pricing and terms will be shown before purchase.
Who can see my check-ins and journal entries?
Your check-ins, urge logs, and journal entries are private by default and are not sold or shared. You choose what, if anything, you share with your community, sponsor, mentor, or care team.
Can treatment-center staff see my personal recovery content?
No. Partner staff can see seat and license status for their cohort, but personal check-ins, journals, urge logs, coach chats, and messages remain private.
Can I connect with a sponsor or mentor?
Yes. The app is designed to support sponsor and mentor discovery, requests, messages, and connection at your pace. You decide who to contact and what to share.
What should I do if I may be in immediate danger?
Do not rely on the app alone. Contact local emergency services or call or text 988 in the United States and Canada. If you are elsewhere, contact your local emergency or crisis service.
Is the information in the recovery guides medical advice?
No. The guides share general recovery information and practical skills. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for professional care.
How can I contact My Recovery Support?
